On average, the NORTHERN ROCKET FOOTBALL LEAGUE, INC. (NRFL) receives a half dozen inquiries a year for information about our league and/or how to apply for membership.  Towards that end the NRFL has two designated League Assistance  Officers; Art Young from the Chippewa Hills area, youngarthury@hotmail.com and Chad  Boucher, from the Northview area,  Chad.Boucher@mktruck.com either may be contacted for help.

After it has been determined that there is  sufficient interest by the prospective area a meeting is set up with one or more  members of the Executive Council and usually involves either the CEO or COO of the league and/or the League Assistance Officer who handled the initial  inquiry.  At this meeting an attempt is made to answer all of the questions that the prospective area might have and the application process is walked through with the group.  The prospective area is made aware of from the beginning of the rights and obligations of both organizations, the costs, and the timelines associated with the formal application process.

In order to try and expedite the application process the basic procedure is outlined below:

1.    Download and complete as much as possible, the NRFL Application.  Please bear in mind that the submission of this application DOES  NOT constitute membership in the league.  ALL applications are reviewed and  presented to the full NRFL Executive Board and they alone are responsible for the acceptance of and the approval of any membership.  APPLICANTS SHOULD BEAR IN  MIND THAT ANY MEMBERSHIP GRANTED IS A PROBATIONARY MEMBERSHIP, GOOD FOR ONE  SEASON.  After that period, and if both parties are in agreement a  recommendation may be made to the NRFL
Executive Board for the granting of full  membership.

2.  The completed application and a non-refundable check for  $125.00 must be submitted via mail to;
NRFL
P.O. Box 140441
Grand Rapids, MI 49514-0441

IF needed the prospective area will be notified in advance of the next scheduled NRFL Executive Board meeting where the membership application will be discussed.  Attendance by someone from the requesting area is required.

3.  IF at the meeting the Executive Board approves a  probationary membership the prospective area must agree to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the rights and responsibilities of both organizations.

4.  The prospective area agrees to pay PRIOR  to the season, league dues in the amount of $500.00 or whatever amount is  in effect at that time.

The NORTHERN ROCKET FOOTBALL LEAGUE, INC. reserves the right to conduct its membership processes and procedures and they  alone shall make the decision to extend or not, any membership offer to a  prospective program.

DUE TO TIME LIMITATIONS, THE NORTHERN ROCKET FOOTBALL LEAGUE, INC. WILL NOT CONSIDER FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON ANY APPLICATION
RECEIVED AFTER JUNE 30, 2014.
